I want to talk about why I’m taking a chakra meditation course and why it might be useful to you too. In 2016 I dipped my toe into the world of crystal chakra massage for the first time. I’d contracted Bell’s Palsy, a condition in which the muscles on one side of your face become paralysed or weak. My body was exhausted. I was so blown away by the results and feeling of my chakra massage that I wrote a post about how it changed my life. At the time, I was already pretty interested in crystals and how to use them alongside chakra balancing to encourage self-healing. This only fuelled my interest further.
Back to full health, I let everyday work and life take over again. I looked into chakra classes, but a lot of them didn’t fit into my busy schedule or were just too far away. I checked out a good few online courses, but most of my searches brought back faceless online sites with heavily scripted audio. My topic of interest was supposed to be about connecting energies and working in harmony with the vibrations of others – I wasn’t getting this from these sites.
A girl after my own heart, Anna had lived a seemingly happy life climbing the career ladder for years before taking the plunge and leaving it all behind her to go travelling. She had followed a similar path to my own, settling on South East Asia where she became a mediation teacher and learned about both chakra healing and prana work. I liked her (and her story) instantly. It was honest and I could relate to it. I contacted Anna and we had a wonderful Skype call and by the end of the call I remember telling her how I could feel her energy and positivity right through the screen! I know it makes me sound like a raging hippie, but surely that’s how someone teaching you about this stuff is supposed to make you feel, right?
As with any online purchase, I still wanted to be sure I knew what I was getting . I’d already had a lovely one-to-one chat with Anna, but before committing to anything, she directed me to her Free Webinar:
This was a great way for me to get a real feel for Anna’s teaching techniques and an idea whether her style was for me. You can also attend the webinars here.
Why learning about chakras could improve our mental health
What a lot of people don’t realise is that their popular yoga and meditation routines have deep links to chakra alignment. I asked Anna to explain the benefits of her chakra course and why chakras are important to our everyday lives. She told me:
Our emotions, physical condition, and state of mind all affect how each chakra filters energy. This, in turn, determines the type of energy we send out to the world, and what kind of interactions we create, spread, and receive back. Understanding the chakras, as well as the different ways of healing them, can therefore largely contribute to a healthier, more harmonious, and balanced life.
What a chakra course includes
For only 59 Euros (around £53), the Miannah.com online chakra course runs for 2 weeks and covers the following:
- 9 modules designed to help me learn about individual chakras, their role, and meanings
- An introduction to self-healing techniques that will increase my chakras’ vibrations
- Emails every other day with in-depth information on each chakra, possible disorders, and healing techniques
- Worksheets alongside theory work detailing practical exercises helping me to align and connect with each chakra.
- Supporting videos to written information
- Audio affirmations for each chakra alongside exclusive recorded meditations by Anna
- Live Q&A sessions and a closed Facebook discussion page to chat to other people on the course
Alongside this, Anna offers me a 30-minute one-on-one guiding session where I can talk to her about my challenges and work on a strategy to overcome them. Alongside the live q&a’s, this is a big one for me, because there’s nothing more frustrating than waiting ages for answers when you’re stuck with something.
I’m super excited to get going with this. Does anyone fancy joining me on my new chakra journey? If so, head over to Miannah.com to get started!
