Every time I catch a long-distance flight, I try to capture the vegan meal options on board in order to give other plant-based travellers a preview of what they might be offered. I’ve already covered Finnair and Air France, now here’s the kind of thing you can expect from a vegan meal with TUI. Flying with TUI This was my first flight with TUI and I wasn’t delighted that they charge you extra for baggage the way that a budget airline would. I appreciate that they sit at the lower end of the long haul services, but I was still forking out for a 10 hour flight. That being said,…

Air France vegan meal review | Vegan Travels
Air France as upped it’s vegan food game significantly since I last travelled with them almost 2 years ago. In fact, the Air France vegan meal offering has improved so much that I’d rank it as one of my best vegan plane meals to date. However, the team at Air France HQ have still got some work to do. Despite the (mostly) pleasant experience on my outward flight, their website failed to save my meal selection on the way home, leaving me with no food for my 15 hour trip back. I’ll discuss this, alongside the other things to watch out for, in this post. You can also find my…

Finnair vegan food review
Like most airlines, Finnair offer a vegan ‘special meal’ during their international flights. After years of in-flight food frustration, I wanted to share my experience of the Finnair vegan food options and how they fare versus other airlines. Flying with Finnair I’d never flown with Finnair before. A lot of people I had spoken with before my flight had scoped them out, but not one of them had ever actually flown with them. I’d decided to take a gamble with the airline for my trip from Scotland to Thailand, a decision partially made on the back of my long standing huff with Emirates (watch out vegans – they didn’t arrange…

Vegan food in Edinburgh
Sat on a flight last week, I just so happened to get sat next to a guy from Edinburgh, who turned out to be vegan. It’s like god/Buddha/Allah/whoever/whatever had checked out my EasyJet seating allocation and positioned me right next to my perfect pal. After chatting about our destination for a while, we got onto to topic of vegan food in Edinburgh. And that’s when I got to realising … Edinburgh has become a main talking point for veganism in the UK. In the last year, we’ve seen a good turn around for our fair town (thank god!). It’s taken a while for our celebrated city to catch up to…
