I can’t decide what I love the most, finding new ways and places to travel on a budget, or finding a new spot to sample vegan food. For that reason, I write about both. Here’s a little about me …
At 28, I quit my job of 7 years (terrified that society was telling me that I was ‘too old’ to be doing this). I bought a 5 point, around the world ticket, got on the plane to Asia, and never made it past point 3. I doubled back to Asia, pinning for more of it. I settled in Thailand for 2 years. I took quickly to Thai life, working 6 day weeks under the laid back management of my Thai bosses in a travel shop.
Eventually, the Western world (mostly non-sugary bread) called me back. Since then I’ve spent my time working as a Freelance SEO specialist/Content Creator and Marketing Officer for Scotland’s largest Innovation Centre for data.
In July 2018 I was delighted to team up with Ink Global to host part of United Airlines’ 3 days series about tourism in Edinburgh : 3 Perfect Days in Edinburgh.
Since then I’ve worked alongside some of Scotland’s best tourism brands, including a collaboration with Visit Scotland and The List. I’ve also been lucky enough to be involved with the marketing and SEO work for a Scottish-based private jet agency, numerous boutique hotels, recruitment agencies and the Hilton chain.
Well into my mid 30’s, I’ve taken to grabbing every opportunity I can to head to places I want to see. Along the way I like nothing better than seeking out the best vegan-friendly travel spots, and coming across cruelty-free tourist attractions. Come read about me doing both …
