At the end of last year I wrote a post about the launch of the new vegan menu at Wagamama. The good folks at Wagamama HQ had us along for an night of vegan culinary delights, with cruelty-free gyozas, stir fried veggies and curries galore. Not content with simply upping the vegan game amongst the high-street chains, the Japanese inspired restaurant giants have now gone one step further – introducing their Wagamama vegan tour!
What’s it all about?
The vegan hangouts are off around the country in celebration of the nationwide launch of ‘Vegatsu’. How many times have we listened to our meat eating friends talk about the glorious wonders of the Wagamama Chicken Katsu Curry? Too many!? Well fret no longer, as the clever folks in the Wagamama kitchens have come up with a vegan version (replacing the chicken with seitan).
On the night
Hosted by Loui Blake, vegan consultant for ethical/plant-based start-ups and public speaker/writer on veganism, the vegan hangout tour is a celebration of all things vegan. Ticket holders to the night will enjoy delicious plant-based dishes with a network of like-minded and influential herbivores.
What vegan foodie night would be complete without a menu of green goodies? Those coming along will be treated to the following:
Canape selection of sides | edamame yasai gyoza, new vegan steamed buns
Mains|Choose from one of the following: Vegatsu, Hurasame tofu salad, Yasai Pad Thai
Drinks | one per person: Sparkling sake, Nix and Kix Natsu Beer, Lanya Merlot, Lanya Savingnon Blanc
If you’re quick, the Manchester event lands on the 13th June (so you can still squeeze in there!)
There’s still time to get your Edinburgh tour ticket here! The tour will be arriving in our capital city on Tuesday 19th June, from 8pm until late. If you’re interested in finding out more about Wagamama’s vegan menu, you can find the whole dish option here.
See you there?
