About My Veggie Travels

I can’t decide what I love the most, finding new ways and places to travel on a budget, or finding a new spot to sample vegan food. For that reason, I write about both.

about me my veggie travels

At 28, I quit my job of 7 years (terrified that society was telling me that I was ‘too old’ to be doing this). I bought a 5 point, around the world ticket, got on the plane to Asia, and never made it past point 3. I doubled back to Asia, pinning for more of it. I settled in Thailand for 2 years. I took quickly to Thai life, working 6 day weeks under the laid back management of my Thai bosses in a travel shop.

Eventually, the Western world (mostly non-sugary bread) called me back. Since then I’ve spent my time working as a Freelance Content Creator and Events and Volunteer Officer for Scottish animal welfare charity OneKind.

In July 2018 I was delighted to team up with Ink Global to host part of United Airlines’ 3 days series about tourism in Edinburgh : 3 Perfect Days in Edinburgh.

2018 was a wonderful year for me as I took on writing for some of Scotland’s best hotels, including posts for Glasgow’s high-end Blytheswood Square apartments and Highlands based Loch Melfort Hotel. Alongside these, I’ve also been lucky enough to support in the marketing audits for Edinburgh Hilton and SEO support for the Gartmore Estate.

Well into my mid 30’s, I’ve taken to grabbing every opportunity I can to head to places I want to see. Along the way I like nothing better than seeking out the best vegan friendly food spots, and coming across cruelty free tourist attractions. Come read about me doing both …
